Micro-blogging with Twitter
http://twitter.com/

...Ready to expand your personal learning network (PLN)? Try Twitter, which is a micro-blogging tool. Think of it as a cross between text messaging (since you only get 140 characters per message) and IM, although you can send a message or question to hundreds of colleagues at the same time!

Once you are following ed-tech gurus, and have others following you, the power of many is harnessed to both gather and share information. I find it easier to use Twitter via one of the installable clients on the desktop and on the iPhone, but it can be used just via the Web site!

On another note, I am right in the middle of designing a Web 2.0 course for next semester for the new Wilkes University/Discovery Education joint Masters program in Instructional Media. Find our more about it here (http://wilkes.edu/pages/2559.asp) if you are interested!
